happy new year.

Oh, heyyyyy. I didn't mean to fall off the radar completely over the past two months, but I have a legitimate excuse: I bought a house.

It happened very quickly and I closed two days before Thanksgiving and moved from my apartment the second week of December...everything was a complete whirlwind, but I'm so, so happy.

The house is in my hometown (a very tiny town in central Massachusetts) but now I'm closer to my family/manfriend and I hopefully won't get destroyed as much with my taxes like I was doing when I was renting (building equity is never a bad thing).  I know it might seem weird for a single girl to buy a hundred-year old four bedroom colonial, but I've come to learn in my old age that you need to trust your gut. Also, I'm a grown ass lady and I do what I want.

I still have a lot of work to do with it, but stayed tuned for some before and afters.

And happy new year! I think 2015 is going to be a good one. My gut says so.

  2. AMAZING! So happy for you and am totally striving to get out of renter hell before I am 40, which is sooo close. I can't wait to see the improvements. Congrats!

This house! So beautiful! Congratulations to you -- hopefully your homeowner mojo will rub off on us as we dig in our pockets for as many nickels as possible to drop into the House Fund.
