snowbound.

Hello from snow city. I can't believe we went from the mid-40's on Wednesday to the crazy amount of snow we have now. We were dumped with a foot and half on Thursday, four inches Saturday and woke up to another foot and a half-ish this morning. It's crazy, but it comes with the joy of New England living. I've been a shoveling machine and I've had to constantly fight Olive to go outside (I shovel her a little path and put her jacket on, but she hasn't been having it -- I can't really blame her).

This weekend was very family-centric -- after lunch and movies with my mom during the afternoon, I had my parents over for dinner on Saturday night and made this pasta carbonara recipe which was super comforting and delicious (the leftovers have been especially tasty with a fried egg on top). On Sunday my sister and I did an early Pure Barre class that kicked my butt and then we stocked up for the week at Trader Joe's. After bagels and Bloody Mary's at my parents' house on Sunday I came home, got cozy and made this granola that I plan on having with yogurt allll week. I also started watching The Killing -- I needed a new show to binge watch, and so far, I'm loving it.

I'm hoping we get a break from the precipitation this week--my arms need a rest.

  1. Ugh! I don't want to come home to this mess. I am sure I won't be able to find my car for days... The granola (and the website) looks awesome.
